Day 1 : Arrival in hanoi
Hi Explorogists, and welcome to Hanoi! This city is the starting point of our fantastic trip to Vietnam. These 13 days together will be full of surprises… Ready?
Let’s go! As soon as you arrive at the airport, you’ll meet our local guide. Follow him; he’ll transfer you to the hotel. Once you arrive at the hotel, take time for you: relax or enjoy the city. Don’t worry, dear Explorogist, we also think of your stomach. A welcoming Vietnamese dinner will be prepared for the whole group. “Ăn ngon miệng.”

Day 2 : A bit of history
Today, we’ll take time to discover some monuments full of history. Our local guide will show you the Hoan Kiem lake situated right in the heart of Hanoi as well as the Temple of Literature. You’ll also see Quan Thanh and Ngoc Son temples, a pagoda, and the mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh: the president. Of course, we’ll embark on a typical cycle rickshaw to enter more deeply into the Vietnamese culture.
For our lunch, we’ll taste ChaCa: a Vietnamese specialty! Once our belly is full, let’s go on with the ethnography museum. Photos, videos, traditional houses from the 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups are exposed! Finally, we’ll spend the evening in an aquatic puppet show theatre. Enjoy the performance!
Day 3 : Let’s go to meet the thai
Today, we’ll leave the city. Our destination? The picturesque MaiChau valley! A Thai family will welcome you and your group to their magnificent traditional house. We’ll even have the chance to lunch with them. After this moment of friendliness, let’s hit the nature reserve of Pu Luong. There, we’ll have a hike among rice fields, bamboo forests, and authentic Thai villages.
After this day full of discoveries, we’ll go back to the hotel to relax next to the swimming pool. Be prepared for tomorrow, Explorogist!
Day 4 : I want to ride my bicycle
Our next destination is HoaLu. This place is also known as the terrestrial Halong Bay. First thing: we’ll eat in a typical restaurant in the heart of rice fields. Then, we’ll get on our bikes and have a tour of mind-blowing landscapes. On our expedition, we’ll visit a pagoda and Thung Nham site, which is still preserved from mass tourism.
Day 5 : Halong bay, one of the seven wonders
Today is a special day, Explorogist! We’ll embark on a deluxe boat that will navigate during two days through one of the Seven Natural Wonders: the Halong Bay. This bay measures more than 1500 square kilometers and possesses approximately 3000 islands. The water there is full of fishes, crabs, and shrimps! Our freshly fished lunch will take place on the boat!
In the afternoon, the boat will make a stop next to a natural cave. You’ll have the opportunity to grab a kayak and paddle through this magical place.
Day 6 : Tai chi class
A little tip: do not hesitate to wake up during sunrise to appreciate Halong Bay properly. Then, go to the ship’s superior deck to participate in a Tai Chi class. Let’s now have breakfast while enjoying our last hours in this breathtaking place! Once we are back on the land, you’ll have time to discover handicrafts before going back to Hanoi. There, we’ll take the train to Hue.
Day 7 : let’s meet fishermen
Welcome to the center of Vietnam, Explorogist! As soon as you arrive, you’ll be transferred from the railway station to your hotel. Have breakfast, take a shower, and get ready for a new day full of discoveries. First, you’ll have the chance to enter the defensive wall of the imperial city-state of Hue and discover another impressive pagoda.
After the lunch, we’ll get to the Dam Chuon lagoon to embark on a 1:30 hour boat tour. During this expedition, you’ll meet and help some fishermen to mend their nets. These locals are all living on the water for many generations. Take time to breathe and enjoy this peaceful place.
Day 8 : dear hoi an
It is already our 8th day here in Vietnam, Explorogist… time is flying! Today, we’ll first enter Tu Duc mausoleum, which is well-known for the particularity of its architecture. This monument stands in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.
After a delicious meal, we’ll go back into our Exploro’bus to reach the magnificent city of Hoi An. Be prepared to discover a unique place! Part of the UNESCO since 1999, this port town is well more touristic but worth it so much that we cannot miss it. Open your eyes and admire.
Day 9 : Cooking time
“Ring ring” wake up, Explorogist! Get your bike and follow the guide. You’ll get through beautiful gardens and aquatic palm trees forests. A stop is planned in a small village. There, you’ll rub shoulders with farmers who will show you their biological culture techniques. Once the tour is done, leave your bike and sit down: a soothing feet massage is waiting for you.
Now, let’s learn how to make BanhXeo: a typical Vietnamese meal. Do not forget to write down the recipe and cook it to your friends when you are back home! You’ll even have the chance to share your preparation with the inhabitants.
Day 10 : back in town!
Today, let’s fly to the biggest city of Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City. Landscapes are now completely changing. Buildings, motorbikes, and noises are part of this new scenery. Today is going to be more historical. We’ll begin with the Chinese district, which is, in fact, a big market and continue with all the principal monuments.
After this historical parenthesis, you’ll have time to explore the city on your own or with the group or to stay at the hotel to relax.
Day 11 : Hello mekong
Let’s go back on track and enter the region of Ben Tre next to Tien River. Once again, we’ll go onto a typical small ship to cross this luxuriant and magnificent nature. After that, we’ll have the opportunity to visit a tiny factory producing handmade coconut products.
A typical lunch will be prepared for the whole group: ENJOY!
Day 12 : Floating market
Cai Rang is well known for its floating market. It is our next destination! You’ll be able to buy some fruit, some rice, some vegetables, and even some fishes. After a day admiring those small boats come and go, we’ll go back to Saigon (Ho Chi Minh). For our last evening in the city, a particular cruise is planned during the night. Take your camera because you’ll have a stunning view of the illuminated city.
Day 13 : take time for you
It is already the end of our trip all together, Explorogist! Take your time to explore some places you haven’t seen yet or to buy some souvenirs for your family and friends.
